Scriptures AND the power of God

Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. (Matthew 22:29)

it’s pretty simple: Both the Scriptures and the power of God are necessary to understand the ways of the Lord.

I know some folks who seek the power but who play loose with the Scriptures.

I also know a number of people who have a fantastic grasp of the Bible, but who seem to be missing the power of God.

Let’s be careful to avoid either error. Knowing God’s Word and God’s power, Jesus says, keeps us in line with understanding God’s character and will.
